About
Emily Fox most recently worked as a registered nurse in labor and delivery at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Boston, MA. Earlier, she was a registered nurse at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center in the high-risk labor and delivery unit, the postpartum unit, and well-born nursery. She received post-baccalaureate Certificate of Midwifery in 2020 the Baystate Midwifery Education Program, Springfield, MA, and a Master of Science in Midwifery in 2020 from Thomas Jefferson University, Philadelphia, PA. In 2010, she received a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, MD, and a Bachelor of Arts in English (Creative Writing) in 2006 from St. Lawrence University, Canton, NY. Before studying nursing and midwifery, she was a health educator for the United States Peace Corps, Sirakoro, Mali. She was also a volunteer with Family Health Ministries in Port-au-Prince, Haiti and with New Life Home Trust in Nairobi, Kenya.
